Introduction:
Overall brown plumage (warmer brown above than below), throat contrasting white.
Habitat:
Undergrowth and thickets in coastal bush, valley bushveld and forest.
Distribution:
Found towards the coastal areas of the Eastern Cape. Not in the dry interior.
Diet:
Insects, snails, fruit and seeds.
Behaviour:
Hard to see in the undergrowth. Parties keep in contact with low rattling sounds.
Nesting:
Root-bound cup shaped structure suspended between thin branches.
